June 5, 2015

June 5 is the World environment day. For the last 100 years, the face of the Earth has been essentially changed by human activity. The fruits of our labour have been showed on a special website NASA “Images of change” where satellite photos taken with an interval of 5-10-50-100 years show Earth’s landscapes changes. The melting of glaciers, drying up of lakes, coastal erosion, desert approaching... However there are places for the few achievements of mankind: arranged green spaces in the Libyan Desert and in 1992 the explosion of  the dam that allowed to save the unique Bay of Kara-Bogaz-Gol.
