Forum for Energy: for 10 years, Poland must refuse from using coal. On the 14th of February, at an interview to the Newseria information agency, Joanna Mackoviak-Pandera, President of the Forum Energii announced that to comply with the ecological standards of European Union, Poland shall try to reduce coal consumption for 10 years. Poland consumes 24-26 million tons of coal annually for heating purposes. Half of this is used by private households.
